Corporator assaults sub-engineer

Mumbai, Mar 17 (UNI) The police today registered a complaint against a corporator (Congress) of ward no 193 for allegedly assaulting a sub-engineer at Govandi in North East Mumbai.

Police said Ayesha Sheikh had gone to the Govandi ward office in order to resolve the water shortage problem in her Deonar ward in the morning and met Santosh Kadam there. She demanded an explanation for the same from him. Not satisfied with his reply, annoyed Sheikh allegedly assaulted him.

Later, Kadam lodged a complaint against her, which they have registered it, police added.
