Congress supporters foil nomination

Nagaon, Mar 17 (UNI) The Congress today received a rude shock when irate Janata Dal (U) supporters locked up Rashidul Haque, preventing him from filing his nomination paper.

Mr Haque, who defected to the party from the Janata Dal (U) only a week back, was the Congress candidate for Jamunamukh constiuency.

He was the state president of the JD (U).

The JD (U) supporters, agitated over the defection, did not allow him to move out and file nomination paper.

The Congress has no dummy candidate for the constituency.
