Bangladesh hit 301-7, their highest one-day total

Written by: Staff

BOGRA, Bangladesh, Mar 17 (Reuters) Bangladesh chalked up their highest total in one-day internationals, hitting 301 for seven in 50 overs against Kenya today.

The home team's decision to bat first after winning the toss in the opening game of the four-match series was fully vindicated as Shahriar Nafees scored 91, Aftab Ahmed made 62 and Mashrafe Mortaza raced to 44 not out off only 16 balls.

Bangladesh's previous highest total was 272 for eight in 50 overs against Zimbabwe in Harare in 2001.

The Bangladeshis have lost 105 of their 118 one-day matches, winning 11 and drawing two.
