AP leaders file Rajya Sabha nominations.
Hyderabad, Mar 17 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Congress President Dr K Keshava Rao, INTUC National resident G Sanjeeva Reddy, Minority leader from Uttar Pradesh Rashid Alvi and CPI senior leader Aziz Pasha filed their nominations for Rajya Sabha elections, before the Andhra Pradesh Legislature Secretary Mr Tuljanand Singh here today.
Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister Dr Y S Raja sekhara Reddy, School Education Minister Nedurumalli Rajya Laxmi, Information Minister Mohd. Ali Shabbir and Rajya Sabha MP V Hanumantha Rao were present when Mr Keshava Rao, Mr Sanjeeva Reddy and Rashid Alvi filed their nominations.
When Aziz Pasha filed his nomination papers, CPI(M) Secretary B V Raghavulu, CPI(M) Legisture Party leader Nomula Narsimhaiah, CPI MP Suravaram Sudhakara Reddy, CPI state secretary Dr K Narayana and CPI legislature party leader Chada Venkata Reddy and State Government Advisor K V P Ramachandra Rao and Agriculture Minister Raghuveera Reddy were present.
Former Congress leader M V Mysoora Reddy who switched his party allegience, filed his nomination as the Telugu Desam Party(TDP) candidate, before the Andhra Pradesh Legislature Secretary Tuljanand Singh.
Senior TDP leader Devender Goud, Kala K Venkat Rao, Padala Aruna, Senior Legislator Ch Rajseswara Rao, Payyavula Keshav, Kothapalli Subba Rayudu and Tammineni Seetharam were among others who present.
