AP Govt to fill up 15,000 teacher posts

Hyderabad, Mar 17 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Minister for School Education N Rajya Lakshmi today informed the State Assembly that 15,475 teacher posts were lying vacant in the state.

Replying to Vamsi Krishna and others of the Congress during the Question Hour, she said the government was considering conducting DSC for recruitment of the teachers as early as possible.

The Minister said primary education plunged into a crisis due to negligence of the erstwhile government and it took two years to resolve the problems. Teacher recruitment would be completed in six districts at the earliest.

She also said 300 PET and 102 Drawing Teacher posts were also vacant.
