24 teams for Koyas' trophy

Kozhikode, Mar 17 (UNI) Twenty four top teams, comprising leading players, will vie for honours in the sixth All Kerala seven-a-side Football Tournament-2006 beginning here from April 2.

Some of the prominent teams participating in the tournament are Coastal Club, Thiruvanthapuram, Cochin Port Trust and Custos and Central Excise, both from Ernakulam, Thrissur Gymkhana, Malappuram Soccer, Malabar Football Academy, Brothers Kannur, Mugharal Ksaargod and Falcans Wayanad, he said.

All arrangements for smooth conduct of the tourney, to be hosted after a gap of seven years, have been completed, organising committee chairman T Hassan told reporters here today.

The fixtures of the tournament, sponsored by the Coimbatore based Koyas' Group of Companies, would be finalised after completion of registration, he said.
