Chennai, Mar 16 (UNI) Even as the arch rivals DMK and the ruling AIADMK, the former leading the DPA and the latter with the MDMK and Dalit Panters of India (DPI) have drawn up the main fronts, Janata Party President Dr Subramanian Swamy today announced that the pro Hindu 'third front' comprising the BJP, the Janata and a few others, would be formally announced in a day or two.

Addressing a press conference here, he said the party's Tamil Nadu unit secretary V S Chandralekha had completed the formal talks with the BJP leaders here yesterday for forging the front.

The talks concluded amicably. A few other parties were also being approached, he said and added ''there will not be any problem about seat sharing or preference of constituencies'', Dr Swamy said.

He said the March 19 conference at Erode organised by the VHP would be apolitical and would only focus on the need to protect Hindu ideals in the wake of the assault on Hindu culture through the arrest of the Sankaracharya of the Kanchi mutt, Jayendra Saraswati in an allegedly foisted murder case.
