Siemens bags orders worth Rs 64.6 crore

New Delhi, Mar 16 (UNI) Industry solutions provider Siemens India Ltd today said it had bagged three major turnkey project contracts in the cement industry amounting to Rs 68 crore.

The contracts include two export projects from Yemen's National Cement Company, Ashaka Cement Plant (Lafarge) of Nigeria, and Vasavadutta Cement, Karnataka.

The largest of the three orders is from the National Cement Company of Yemen. Siemens will build a 3,450 tonnes per day cement plant for Yemen's National Cement Company for Rs 54.6 crore.

The project will be completed in 14 months, the company said.

The company also won a Rs 10 crore order from Vasavadutta Cement to expand the capacity of its 1 million tonnes per day plant in Karnataka.

Siemens would also upgrade a cement plant of Nigeria-based Ashaka Cement from 1200 TPD to 1500 TPD, the execution of which will be completed in 8-10 months.
