PT to take decision on poll alliance on Mar 20

Madurai, Mar 16 (UNI) Puthiya Tamizhagam (PT) will take a decision on any poll alliance during the party's general council meeting on March 20, its President Krishnaswamy today said.

Speaking to reporters here, Dr Krishnaswamy said interviews for party ticket seekers will be also be held during the general council meeting.

The party had already decided to contest 150 seats during the May eight Assembly elections.

He also asked the Election Commission to complete all formalities on issuing electoral photo identity cards and voter lists to ensure smooth polling.

Besides, EC must allot symbols for newly registered parties at least one month before the election dates, he said.
