Police arrests 3 youths in Nanded for assault and robbery

Nanded, Mar 16 (UNI) Three armed youths were arrested today in the early hours by Vazirabad police for assaulting five persons including a minor and robbing them of Rs 19,000.

District Superintendent of Police (DSP) Fattesingh Patil said that the three accused all in the age group of 30-32 years-old- Dalbirsingh Tehredar, Avtarsingh and Gurumitsingh alied Gopi,-- armed with knives, sword and sticks first entered the house of Mahendra Kaur and had cut fingers of his nine year old son Hamitsingh and took away a gold chain worth Rs 9,000 last evening.

The trio later went to the Gurudwara road and assulted Sanjay Shisodia, a resident of Indore and robbed him of Rs 1,800.

In another case, they assaulted Parmajitsingh Harpalsingh a visitor from Bijapur, and robbed him of Rs 3,000.

Another two persons were also assulted and robbed by them of Rs 5,400 and Rs 250, respectively.

Of the five persons assaulted by the trio, four including the nine year old boy have been admitted to the guru Govind Singh goverment hospital here while the other one has been admitted to a private nursing home.

The Vaziarabad police have arrested the trio, and charged them under sections 394, 397, 452, 427 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Mr Patil said adding that they would be produced before a local court for their remand later in the day.
