NICD team visits leptospirosis-hit villages in K'taka
Gulbarga, Mar 16 (UNI) A team of experts from the National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD), New Delhi, and Bangalore has visited the villages affected by the deadly leptospirosis (rat fever) in the district.
Sources in the Health Department said a high-level team, led by NICD Joint Director U V S Rana and Deputy Director in Bangalore Sohan Lal, visited Mudbul and Gundgurthi villages yesterday to collect details and blood samples from the affected people.
A clear picture would emerge only after NICD submitted its report, most likely within a fortnight, the sources said.
