N K Malhotra new Lok Ayukta of UP

Lucknow, Mar 16 (UNI) Justice (Retd) N K Malhotra was today appointed as the new Lok Ayukta of Uttar Pradesh.

State governor T V Rajeswar administered oath of office to Justice Malhotra here at Raj Bhawan.

Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav along with several senior officials were present during the oath ceremony.

Justice Malhotra -- who retired as Allahabad High Court judge last month -- will succeed Justice Sudhir Chandra Verma.
