Moderate earthquakes rattle north Andaman Sea Region
New Delhi, Mar 16 (UNI) A earthquake of moderate intensity rocked the north Andaman sea region this evening, the Met office said.
The temblor, measuring 5 on the Richter Scale, occurred at 1929 hrs.
Its epicenter was 11.2 degrees North latitude and 94.8 degrees East longitude.
There were no immediate reports of any damage.
Hundreds of aftershocks have rattled the Andaman region ever since the December 2004 temblor off Sumatra that touched off a tsunami and devastated lives along the Indian Ocean coast.
