Maya celebrates Kanshiram's B'day firing salvos at 'Manuwadis'

New Delhi, Mar 16 (UNI) Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Supremo Mayawati has said a great conspircay was being hatched by ''Manuwadi'' political parties to trap her, and called upon party workers to gear up to defeat ''this design of the enemies of the Bahujan Samaj''.

Scared by the rising power of the BSP, the manuwadi parties were harassing her and leaving no stone unturned to nail her, said Ms Mayawati addressing BSP workers yesterday on the occasion of its founder Kanshiram's birthday, which is celebrated by the party as the Bahujan Samaj Day.

She told the workers to come into the ''election mode, as the political scenario was changing fast.

''The way some Central Government and the Government in Uttar Pradesh were functioning, they cannot be expected to last full five years, making early polls imminent,'' Ms Mayawati said The workers should concentrate on strengthening the organisation and creating further awareness among the Bahujan Samaj about the alliance of the manuwadi forces to weken the BSP, said the party supremo.

Party sources said over 2000 delegates attended the convention whose primary aim was to review the working of the party and discuss future strategies.
