Last date for filing PC-3 return extended to March 31

New Delhi, Mar 16 (UNI) The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) today announced extension up to March 31, the last date for the filing of mandatory returns by the associations receiving foreign contribution.

A statement issued by the ministry said those associations which failed to file the returns before the deadline, will be placed in prior permission category in terms of provisions contained in Section 6 (1) (A) of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 1976.

The associations registered under FCRA or which have obtained prior permission from Ministry of Home Affairs were required to furnish PC-3 return for 2004-05 to the Ministry before July 31, 2005.

In view of the natural calamities in various parts of the country, the last date for receipt of this mandatory return was extended up to October 31, 2005.

"However, the last date for receipt of FC-3 return has been further extended up to March 31, 2006," it said.
