Iran yet to brief on detained Indians

Dubai, Mar 16 (UNI) The Iranian Foreign Ministry is yet to give details about the two Indians and their UAE national employers, detained three weeks ago by Iranian coastguard when they were on a fishing trip.

The UAE is looking into the matter seeking details as to where they are being held and are inquiring about their condition since their capture on February 22.

''The men were only on a fishing trip. We hope they will be released soon,'' a foreign ministry official said.

It was reported earlier that the detained nationals had phoned their family and told them they were in good health.

An official at the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi earlier said it had not received any information regarding the detention.
