Hutch reduces ISD, STD call rates

Ahmedabad, Mar 16 (UNI) Hutch today announced a reduction in ISD and STD call rates across all plans, both for pre-paid and post-paid subscribers.

''ISD rates are now lower by 53 per cent and STD rates have been reduced by 24 paise per minute. As a Hutch post-paid or pre-paid customer, you can automatically enjoy these lowered rates at no extra charge. These new ISD and STD rates apply across all tariff plans/ recharges,'' a Hutch statement said here this evening.

Calls to US, Canada, Europe (fixed lines), Australia (fixed lines), New Zealand (fixed lines) and South East Asia, which used to cost Rs 14.24 for post-paid subscribers and Rs 15.24 for pre-paid ones will now cost Rs 7.20 per minutes.

To connect to mobile phones in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and SAARC countries, the cost will dip to Rs 9.99 from Rs 14.24 and Rs 15.24.

Calls to Gulf, Middle East, UAE and Africa will also be charged at Rs 9.99, instead of Rs 17.24 or Rs 18.24.

The STD rate has also been lowered from Rs 2.64 per minute to Rs 2.40 per minute, it said.

Hutch also announced twp new postpaid and prepaid plans.
