House mourns death of P M Sayeed

Kohima, Mar 16: The 10th session of the Nagaland Assembly today paid rich tributes to former union minister P M Sayeed.

Soon after the governor's address, Nagaland Assembly Speaker Kiyanilie Peseyie asked the leader of the house to make obituary reference of Mr P M Sayeed The house also mourned the demise of former legislator Yup Angnenba, former Nagaland Assembly deputy speaker Horangse Sangtam and former parliamentary secretary Tsubongse Sangtam.

The house also observed two minutes silence in respect of the departed souls.

The house today adopted the motion of thanks on the governor's address, which was moved by Nagaland Peoples Front (NPF) legislator K Naiba Konyak and seconded by BJP legislator T Torechu.

Later the speaker adjourned the house till tomorrow .
