FM to present first Performance Budget tomorrow

New Delhi, Mar 16 (UNI) Finance Minister P Chidambaram will present the first Performance Budget in Parliament tomorrow.

Mr Chidambaram has also introduced the practice of presenting an Outcome Budget besides the usual General Budget which is tabled on the last day of February.

The Performance and Outcome Budgets are aimed at improving the efficiency of various ministries and make them more accountable to the people.
