Firing at CM's constituency

Imphal, Mar 16 (UNI) Firing has been reported at Thoubal Athokpam, the constituency of Manipur Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh, last night.

A 'thabal chongba' or moonlit dance was going on midnight last night near the Chief Minister's residence in Thoubal district when some persons suddenly started firing. However, no one was injured, police said.

Meanwhile, firing by personnel of the 22 Maratha Light Infantry was also reported at Mayang Imphal, Thoubal district, last night.
