Day temperatures dip in North East

Pune, Mar 16 (UNI) Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and were above normal in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and in remaining parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.

They were markedly below normal in Vidarbha and in some parts of Orissa, East Uttar Pradesh, Uttarnchal, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada and Chattisgarh and were appreciably below normal in Madhya Maharashtra and in some parts of Bihar, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajashtan and Rayalseema and were below normal in some parts of Arunachal Pradesh, West Uttar Pradesh, Gujrat State, interior Karnataka and in remaining parts of Rajshtan.

They were normal over the rest of the country.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of South Madhya Maharashtra and interior Karnataka and were below normal in some parts of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and in remaining parts of South Madhya Maharashtra and interior Karnataka.

They were appreciably above normal in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Uttaranchal and coastal Andhra Pradesh and were above normal in some parts of Gangetic West Bengal, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Telangana and Tamil Nadu and in remaining parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalseema. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or snow are likely to occur at isolated places in Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa and Kerala and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Jharkhand, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh state, Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat state, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at many places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

Rain or thundershowers have also occurred in few places in Orissa, Chattisgarh and coastal Andhra Pradesh, and at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand and East Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, East Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Marathwada and Tamil Nadu.
