Congress candidates for Rajya Sabha election announced

New Delhi: AICC today(March 16) announced party candidates for Rajya Sabha biennial election to be held in seven states.

The nominees for party candidature are Dr K Keshav Rao, and Mr G Sanjeeva Reddy from Andhra Pradesh, Mr Pravin Rasthpal from Gujarat, Mr HR Bhardwaj from Haryana, Mrs Viplav Thakur from Himachal Pradesh, Mr Rehman Khan from Karnataka, Mr Arjun Singh from Madhya Pradesh and Mr Sushil Kumar Shinde from Maharashtra.

Congress also announced the names of Mr Chandan Bagchi as candidate for election to the Bihar Legislative Council and Mr Siraj Mehdi for UP legeslative Council.
