Businessman looted of Rs 17 lakh

Badwani, MP, Mar 16 (UNI) A factory owner was today robbed of Rs 17 lakh on gunpoint in broad daylight by three unidentified persons at the factory premises at Sendhwa town in this district, police said.

The robbers held Mr Rajendra Singh Rajpal and his cashier at gunpoint and looted the money before fleeing on a two-wheeler.

Deputy Inspector General of Police (Nimar range) Vipin Maheshwari said district borders had been sealed and police teams dispatched to track down culprits.

Meanwhile, cotton businessmen association's secretary Gopal Tayal demanded increasing police force in view of increasing criminal activities in Sendhwa.
