BCCI appeal against stay to be heard tomorrow
Kolkata, Mar 16 (UNI) A two-judge bench of the High Court today admitted BCCI's appeal challenging the trial court order staying the showcause notice slapped on former Board President Jagmohan Dalmiya.
The bench comprising Justice Bhaskar Bhattacharya and Justice P N Sinha fixed the hearing of the appeal for tomorrow.
The bench observed, while hearing the BCCI counsel, that the court will go by the evidence provided by former BCCI President Jagmohan Dalmiya first and pass order on the basis of that evidence.
The court also held that the appealete have the liberty to go back to the trial court challenging the order if they desired.
Counsel S K Kapoor and Aninda Kr Mitra appeared for the BCCI, while legal eagles Sidhartha Shankar Ray, Shaktinath Mukherjee and P C Sen appeared for Mr Dalmiya.
