Aurobindo Pharma gets FDA approval for blood pressure drug

New Delhi, Mar 16 (UNI) Aurobindo Pharma Ltd today said it has received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for a combination drug to treat high blood pressure.

The drug combines Lisinopril and Hydrochlorothiazide, 10/12.5 mg, 20/12.5 mg, and 20/25 mg, the company said today.

The market opportunity for the product is around 100 million dollars.

Lisinopril and Hydrochlorothiazide tablets is the generic version of Prinzide tablets of Merck research Laboratories, Aurobindo Pharma said.
