Antiques worth Rs 12 crores recovered
Patna, Mar 16 (UNI) Four statues of Lord Buddha and one of Lord Krishna besides other precious articles of high archaeological value, worth Rs 12 crores, were recovered from seven people under Pirbahore police station here today.
City police superintendent Vikash Vaibhav told mediapersons today that acting on a tip-off, a sleuth of local police raided a hotel located at Ashok Rajpath and recovered the statues from there. Four tiger skins were also seized during the raid.
The arrested smugglers were being interrogated to ascertain their links with other gangs involved in the smuggling of the antiques.
