Six of marriage party killed in road accident

Midnapur, Mar 15 (UNI) Six people were killed and 28 injured when a bus carrying about 90 people dashed against a tree at Panchia village early today.

The victims belonged to a marriage party.

While five people were killed on the spot, one more succumbed to injuries later in Kharagpur Hospital, where all the injured were admitted.

Police said the injured included the bride and the groom.

The bus, carrying the bridegroom's party, went to Kamargeria village in Sankrail police station area last night. On the return journey, it hit a tree in the dense fog.

The deceased had been identified and the bus seized but the driver had fled.
