President A P J Kalam celebrates Holi with children

New Delhi, Mar 15: Characteristic his love for children, President A P J Kalam today (Mar 15, 2006) choose to celebrate Holi with school boys and girls at Rashtrapati Bhavan and dedicated a newly composed poem to them.

After reeceiving greetings from the children who were from schools in and around the capital, Dr Kalam presented each one of them with a photograph of roses from the Mughal Gardens, captioned with a poem written by him.

It read: 'We are flowers born in Rashtrapati Bhavan Gardens, Our Mission is to cheer you. Dear friends, see us and get cheered." The children, which included some who were mentally challenged and special persons, rejoiced in the company of the First citizen of India, known for his humility and freindship with people.
