One injured due to fire in vehicles

Badwani MP, Mar 15 (UNI) A man sustained burn injuries when four vehicles caught fire while welding of a tanker was being done near a petrol pump at Agra Mumbai National Highway in this district, police said today.

Superintendent of Police Dinesh Chandra Sharma said fire brigade personnel controlled the fire in about one-and-half hour.

A sugar-laden truck, a tractor and a multi-utility vehicle Qualis caught fire due to spark while welding of the tanker was being done.

As the sudden fire triggered panic, sub-inspector Bhagirath Soni, who reached the spot, drove the burning tanker to side, while one Mr Raju drove the truck to other side, averting a major accident.

Imran was admitted to hospital.

Mr Sharma said Mr Soni and Mr Raju will be rewarded for their courageous act.
