Lifeline takes hospital on lease in TN
Chennai, Mar 15 (UNI) Lifeline, a city-based 225-bed multispeciality hospital, has taken over the management of S&V Loga Hospital at Karur on a 15-year lease.
Announcing this at a press conference here today, Lifeline Hospitals Chairman Rajkumar said the group was also taking over 13 clinics across Tamil Nadu from April one, 2006.
S&V Loga, a multispeciality hospital in Karur, would be now named as S&V Loga Lifeline hospital.
The 120-bed hospital with three operation theatres and 30 doctors, offered various services, including cardiology, dental surgery, dermatology, endoscopy, ENT, gastroenterology, general medicine and surgery, paediatric, neonatology, neurology, obstetrics and gynaecology.
The 13 Lifeline clinics were located at Periyar Nagar, Perundurai, Pallipalayam, Namakkal, Gobichettipalayam, Erode, Sathyamangalam, Rasipuram, Bhavani, Tiruchengode, Kanageyam, Dharapuram and Karur.
Each of these clinics would have one or two consultants depending on is size, a pharmacy, a laboratory with ECG and X-ray facilities, Dr Rajkumar added.
He said with the acquisition of the hospital and clinics, Lifeline will operate in a hub and spoke model. Each of these medical centres would be connected through a video telemedicine network, which would help people from towns to have access to the super speciality medical care, he added.
