Kenya orders five charged in biggest graft scandal
NAIROBI, Mar 15 (Reuters) Kenya's attorney general today ordered that a former spy chief, ex-central bank governor and three others be charged with fraud in the 1 billion dollar Goldenberg graft scandal.
Attorney General Amos Wako said in a statement charges would be brought against former intelligence head James Kanyotu, former central bank governor Wilfred Karuga Koinange, his deputy Eric Kotut and former senior finance ministry official Eliphaz Riungu.
Businessman Kamlesh Pattni, alleged mastermind of Kenya's biggest fraud case, was also among those to be charged.
