Jammu, Mar 15 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir government has decided to have air connectivity with Kargil, the highest populated area in the country.

State Civil Aviation Minister Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed told the Legislative Council today that the government was in touch with private airlines as the state-owned Indian Airlines does not have such aeroplanes which can operate at Kargil due to its high altitude and comparatively short run-way.

The government is exploring all possibilities to introduce Air-Deccan service to Kargil. Kargil will be connected by air with other cities very soon, he said.
