Holi celebrated with gaiety and enthusiasm in Goa
Panaji, Mar 15 (UNI) Holi, the festival of colours symbolising victory of the good over the evil was celebrated with traditional gaiety and enthusiasm in Goa.
The tourist destination witnessed fun and frolic as people of all ages participated in the celebration marked with sprinkling of colours and coloured water with special syringes. Sweets and colours were also distributed on the occasion.
In Panaji, hoards of youth, in open top jeeps and motor cycles zoomed pasts the streets in wild mirth and merriment while others danced to the drowning music.
However, people in several colonies complained of ''unbearable noise pollution'' with nobody to check the high decible noise from loud speakers blaring western music.
