Grihalakshmi Films announces another 'female-oriented' movie

Kochi, Mar 15 (UNI) Fresh from the success of its last venture, 'Achuvinte Amma', focusing on a mother-daughter relationship, Grihalakshmi Films today announced its new female-oriented movie on the life of three girl students in the final year of school.

Announcing the launch of the yet untitled film, Grihalakshmi Films producer P V Gangadharan said at a press conference here that a ''talent hunt'' would be launched across schools in Kerala next month for three new faces to feature in the lead roles of the main characters 'Sara', 'Sreedevi' and 'Pooja'.

To be directed by Rosshan Andrrews, whose debut film 'Udayananu Tharam', featuring Mohan Lal, was among the box office hits last year, the shooting for the film will start some time in May-June in Ooty and Bangalore.

Mr Gangadharan said the movie was being slated for release in October. Describing it as a ''big budget'' venture, Mr Gangadharan said apart form Rosshan Andrrews, the project had other talented professionals like cameraman S Kumar and art director Sunil. The script for the movie has been written by Bobby and Sanjay, whose last film 'Ente Veedu Appunteyum' tugged at the heartstrings of viewers.

Describing the upcoming venture as something new in Malayalam cinema, Mr Rosshan Andrrews said films dealing with campus life generally dealt with college life. But, the focus of this film would be the students in the final year of school, a delicate time in one's life.

Mr Sunil, whose art direction for the Hindi film Iqbal and 'Ananthabhardram' in Malayalam received critical acclaim, said budget was not a problem for him. He had worked on a budget of only Rs six lakh for 'Iqbal' while the budget for 'Ananthabhadram' was Rs 25 lakh.

Script writers Bobby and Sanjay said that the story was very realistic. ''It has lots of moments of the school life of all of us,'' they added.
