Five of marriage party killed in Midnapur

Midnapur, Mah 15 (UNI) Five members of a bridegroom's party were killed and 29 injured when a bus carrying about 90 people dashed against a tree at Panchia village early today.

Police said the injured included the bride and the groom. All the injured were admitted to Kharagpur Hospital and Midnapur Medical College and Hospital where the condition of ten was stated to be serious.

The bus, carrying the bridegroom's party, went to Kamargeria village in Sankrail police station area last night. On the return journey it hit a tree due to dense fog.

The deceased have been identified. The bus has been seized but the driver has fled.
