Circuit bench work to start by June in Dharwad
Dharwad, Karnataka, Mar 15 (UNI) Karnataka Law and Parlimentary Affairs Minister Basavaraj Horatti today said the construction work for the proposed circut bench of the Karnataka High Court at the Water and Land Management Institute here would begin by June.
Talking to newspersons after visiting the institute, he said mass facilities and quarters for Judges and judicial personnel would be constructed in a 47-acre area, to be acquired from the State Water Resources Ministry at a cost of Rs 30 lakh.
In the main building of the circut bench, 11 courts, including that of the Chief Justice, would function. Of the total estimated cost of Rs 66 crore, the Government had released Rs 20 crore, Mr Horatti said.
To a question, the Minister said he would be convening a meeting in Bangalore on March 24 to chalk out the details for setting up the circuit bench in Gulbarga.
