Case against MLA's husband in AP

Mahbubnagar, Andhra Pradesh Mar 15 (UNI) A case was registered against Gadwal MLA D K Aruna's husband and former Congress MLA D K Bharathasimha Reddy, following a complaint by a construction company, which has taken up the works of Nettampadu irrigation project in the district.

The complaint was given by Kranti Constructions to Mahbunagar Superintendent of Police Srinivas Reddy last night regarding Samajwadi Party MLA Aruna's husband Bharathasimha Reddy, Gadwal Block Congress President G Krishna Reddy and their followers.

In the complaint the firm charged that Bharathasimha Reddy, Krishna Reddy and their followers demanded commission to the tune of several crore for taking up works pertaining to Netampadu irrigation project's 101 packages.

The construction firm also alleged that the Congress leaders in Gadwal were provoking the local villagers to stop the works under the guise of demanding rehabilitation for those whose lands are being taken away for project works.

The police registered cases under the Sections 384, 342 and 506 of IPC against Bharathasimha Reddy, Krishna Reddy and their followers.

Last night the police also arrested Krishna Reddy and efforts were on to arrest Bharathasimha Reddy.
