Bhusan Steel land oustees assured jobs, withdraw agitation
Sambalpur, Mar 15 (UNI) The indefinited agitations, by hundreds of land oustees of Bhusan Steel plant was finally called off after the management agreed to provide job, following a tripartite agreement.
Sources said the management agreed for providing job to 325 members of the land oustees of Thelkuli and nearby villages besides other affected families.
It also agreed for undertaking adequate measures to protect environment and spray water everyday to prevent dust in and around the factory.
The land oustees and local villagers had resorted to agitation for the past three days, demanding employment to the family members of the land oustees and proper environmental measures by the Bhusan Steels at Thelkuli, 40 km from here.
The tripartite meeting attended by the management of the Company, Sambalpur Collector Vishal Gagan, Superintendent of Police S Devdatt Singh and representatives of the land oustees decided to form a 'watch-dog method' to review the implementation of the proposals agreed by the company.
