ACB arrests former Mantralaya Assistant Avinash Sanas

Mumbai, Mar 15 (UNI) The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested former Mantralaya assistant Avinash Sanas on charges of disprorpotionate assest, who is an accused in the 1999 multi-crore Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) examination scam held in the year 1999.

Sanas was arrested at around 0800 hrs today for possessing excess wealth than his known sources of income, official sources said.

ACB sleuths had raided the residences of Sanas in Thane and Ghatkopar on last Saturday and the search continued till Sunday, the sources added.

Sanas, who is an accused in the 1999 MPSC examination scam, had secured bail in the case from the Supreme Court only last week.
