Abusive letter to Imam sparks tension in Saharanpur

Lucknow, Mar 15 (UNI) Tension prevailed in Sadar Bazar area of the Sahranpur district today following the recovery of a bag containing an abusive letter addressed to the Imam of a mosque.

Police said here that the situation ensued after a bag containing the letter and a piece of pig flesh for the Imam of a mosque in Himmatnagar area was recovered.

Senior administrative officials reached the spot and controlled the situation from worsening. Further investigations were on, police added.
