Vigilance judge orders probe into Guruvayur Devaswam
Thrissur, Mar 14 (UNI) The vigilance inquiry commissioner and special judge, Thrissur, P Q Berkkathaali today ordered an enquiry into allegations of corruption in the Guruvayur Devaswam.
The order was passed on a petition filed by Karakkatuveetil Anil Kumar, a native of Chavaakkad.
The Judge directed the vigilance director, Thiruvananthapuram, to investigate and submit a report.
The petitioner alleged there was corruption in the appointment of elephant 'mahouts' and temporary employees, and the computerisation of the Devaswam office.
The petitioner also sought an enquiry into the travelling expenses of the administrator.
