UN court in the Hague closes Milosevic trial

The Hague, Mar 14: The UN war crimes tribunal formally today closed the four-year trial of Slobodan Milosevic for genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes following the weekend death of the former Yugoslavian president.

''His death terminates these proceedings,'' said Presiding Judge Patrick Robinson in Courtroom One of the Hague tribunal, a court that Milosevic refused to recognise since the trial started in on February. 12, 2002.
