Three Irrigation engineers suspended
Bhopal, Mar 14 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh government suspended three engineers of the Irrigation department posted in Shivpuri district for various irregularities in canal construction work following a spot inspection by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Acting Executive Engineer K M Sharma and Sub-Divisional Officers B S Jadon and Awadh Bihari Sharma were suspended forthwith, official sources said.
Mr Chouhan yesterday visited Padarkheda village following media reports that a canal was constructed only on paper.
He observed the sub-standard work and directed strict action against the engineers, sources said.
Among other engineers associated with the canal work, Assistant Engineer R N Singh had been suspended earlier, while Executive Engineer B L Bantia had retired.
