Rajendra Sacchar Committee on Maharashra tour from March 20

Mumbai, Mar 14 (UNI) Rajendra Sacchar Committee, set up by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) to prepare a report on the economic, social and educational status of Muslims in the country, will arrive here on a three-day visit to Maharashtra from March 20.

The committee will hold meetings with community leaders, NGOs, activists, educational experts, women's organisations, political party leaders at the Sahayadri guest house from March 21 to 22.

On March 22, the committee will hold deliberations with community leaders from the district level.

An official release here today has asked interested participants to register themselves with K S Sayyad of Maharashtra State Minority Commission by March 16.
