Municipal corporation by-election on March 19

Mumbai, Mar 14 (UNI) By-elections to two Brihanmumbai municipal corporation wards -- number eight and 86, will be held on March 19.

There are eight candidates in fray from ward number eight while thirteen candidates are contesting from ward number 86.

There are 29,766 male and 13,610 female voters in ward number eight while their numbers in ward number 86 are 15,960 and 14,083 respectively.

The main fight in both the wards is between the Congress and the BJP. The NCP, which is a coalition partner of the Congress in the State Government, is contesting the by-election on its own. Counting of votes will be taken up on March 20.
