Ministers reprimanded for talking during RS proceedings
New Delhi, Mar 14 (UNI) Rajya Sabha Chairman Bhairon Singh Shekhawat today expressed his displeasure when he found Union Ministers talking to each other while Leader of Opposition Jaswant Singh was initiating a discussion in the house.
As Mr Singh was speaking on the working of the Ministry of External Affairs, the conversation among the ministers interfered with the reception of his speech, prompting the Chair to turn towards the source of the noise.
''I request the Ministers to stop talking and listen to the speaker,'' Mr Shekhawat finally spoke out after putting up with the voices for a short while.
The sounds immediately subsided and Mr Singh continued.
