Minister dismisses TDP allegation on projects

Hyderabad, Mar 14 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Major Irrigation Minister P Laxmaiah today dismissed the allegations made by the oppposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MPs in the Parliament that the governmnet has misused the funds being released under Accelerated Irrigation Benefit Programme (AIBP) for these projects.

Alleging that the TDP MPs were obstructing the project works taken up by the Government, Mr Laxmaiah said the Government had received Rs 267 crore from the Centre to construct projects under AIBP.

The Government would not place the files of Ellampally project before the Speaker as demanded by the TDP during the budget session, he added.
