K'taka Wakfs Protection demands COD inquiry into scams
Bangalore, Mar 14 (UNI) The Joint Action Committee of the Karnataka Wakfs Protection has demanded a COD inquiry into several scams, including sanctioning benami loans, in the Karnataka Wakf Foundation for Women Development.
In a memorandum to Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, a copy of which was released to the media here, the Committee alleged that over the last 15 years, the Foundation officials, along with the Wakf Ministers and their personal staff, had been looting government grants to the tune of crores of rupees meant for the welfare of poor and downtrodden Muslim women and said only a COD inquiry would bring out the truth.
It also demanded the immediate suspension of the ''corrupt officials'' and stern action against former Wakf Ministers and their personal staff.
