K'taka Govt to appoint all selected vet candidates
Bangalore, Mar 14 (UNI) The Karnataka Government has proposed to appoint the 250 candidates selected for the post of veterinary doctors through counselling, Animal Husbandry Minister V S Acharya said today.
Talking to reporters here, he said counselling, being introduced for the first time, would help to bring in more transperancy in the placement procedure, besides facilitating the candidates to get their choice posting.
Dr Acharya said 250 posts of the total 577 vacancies in 2001 were selected in 2003, but the files were held up due to various reasons.
The Government would soon call for fresh applications for the remaining 327 posts, he informed, adding that there were 1,018 vacant posts in the department as on date.
