Jeetan Patel likely to make Test debut, same Kiwi team for 2nd Test

Christchurch, Mar 14 (UNI) If selected, Wellington spinner Jeetan Patel will make his Test debut in his home city as New Zealand today named the same 15-member squad for the second Test against West Indies starting on Friday.

Both Jeetan Patel and Kyle Mills were named in the squad for the first Test before returning to their provinces ahead of Round Six of the State Championship, according to a New Zealand Cricket release here today.

The West Indies will be without their vice-captain, batsman Ramnaresh Sarwan, who returned to the Caribbean after sustaining a thigh injury.

New Zealand beat West Indies by 27 runs in the first test in Auckland yesterday.

New Zealand squad: Nathan Astle, Shane Bond, Stephen Fleming (captain), Peter Fulton, James Franklin, Jamie How, Brendon McCullum , Hamish Marshall, Chris Martin, Kyle Mills, Jeetan Patel, Scott Styris, Daniel Vettori.
